Here's a sample of our week there:
I got to see Mark pitch...
And run...
and blow bubbles...
While Maysie watched and posed...
And "toes"ed...
And Eric ate...
And then I watched Maysie play futsal, which is an indoor soccer-type game
And did I mention that we ate? A lot? This was taken at our favorite restaurant El Sombrero...
My sister Krista and my son Eric
Still eating...
Dad, Eric, Krista, my brother Ryan and me
Then we walked a few steps down to the beach and this kitty posed for me...
I love this picture of Eric, Ryan and my Dad at the Manhattan Beach Pier
Who'd have ever thought Ryan and my dad would look short...
We walked up from the beach and took this picture in front of a store...Notice the dog in the lower right hand corner...
He belonged to the owner of the store. Eric wanted to steal him; he was so friendly.
Then off to my mom and Bob's...
(View from their condo)
To visit them and their pups...
Channing (AKA Shanny)
Coco
Basking in a rare (very rare) appearance of the sun...
Then (are you tired yet?!) it was off to see Maysie in the play Annie, where she played an orphan and also sang her first solo as the character "Star-to-Be"!
Krista helping Maysie get ready before the show...
Maysie and Me
The cast board in the lobby (Maysie on the right)
Maysie in the back center as an orphan
Annie was spectacular, and she's only 11

"Annie" and Maysie
Maysie still in her makeup after the show
THEN...(I know, crazy busy) it was off to my Aunt Lyn's house for a Western-themed BBQ
My brother Mike, sister Krista and my mom
My stepdad Bob, Eric, and Uncle Dick
Ryan and Krista
And our old (10 now!) cat Milo, who is now spoiled rotten by lives with my sister
Maysie, who just turned 10, was nervous because it was her first solo and she had never used a microphone until the final show (not even in dress rehearsal), but she did A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The Annie production was done through the Family Theater as a summer camp for kids. They learn their parts, songs, and dances in 10 days, with just one final show. It went off without a hitch.
So...
Without further ado...
So...
Without further ado...
Singing her first solo...
Heeeeerrrrre's....Maysie!!!!
That's her driving up in the taxi...
