My book blog now has its own home. Please visit me at LYNNE'S BOOK REVIEWS. Of course you're more than welcome to see what's going on in my personal life, but if you want to talk books, that's where I'll be!

Lynne's Lowdown

Remember I told you KC would be in Bark Magazine?

Here 'tis:

She's in the bottom middle

Larry says she should have been on the cover.

Hey, I got a free one year subscription. Don't laugh.

My friend Donna has an animal nursery in her backyard at the moment. You know how much I love animals. And baby animals...uh! I can't resist!

In these pictures her miniature horse baby, Java Joe, is 9 days old. JJ's mom's name is Latte.

Donna and Java Joe.
Isn't he tiny? Not much bigger than her dog Divot, who's next to him.

Java Joe romping with the dogs

He was running and showing off for us. We were cracking up because he was so wobbly. Here he is running after his mom

Another (regular size horse) baby

Brand new parakeet baby (not so cute)

Older parakeet baby

She's got so much going on there, I don't know how she does it. But I was in heaven! I told her I want to live on a farm but I want somebody else to take care of the animals.

Also last week we took Eric and three of his friends to Lake of the Ozarks. Some girl friends also were there, and they went on the boat with us.

That'll probably be it this summer as far as vacations go. Eric and I will be going to Kansas City for a basketball tournament in July, but other than that we're going to staycation.

Some good news on the basketball front - The varsity coach called Eric into his office after the shooting clinic last night. He said he was impressed with his play and invited him to the varsity camp at Southeast Missouri State University next weekend. Yay.
