Remember Me?

Hi, remember me? I know it's been a while, but my friend Megan was here visiting from California, so I took a little blogging break.

Here are some pics to update you:

Eric and Allie went to her Homecoming dance on Saturday night. And yes she wore 4-inch heels because she is 5'2" and he is 6'7".

He is standing a step (or two?) below her in this picture.

Megan and I

We had a great time, celebrated Megan's 29th birthday (again), and just hung out, went to Eric's basketball scrimmages and took naps. We did go to the casino one night after a fancy dinner and pretended like we were in Vegas. I even won $112 in the slot machines.

Megan and I are friends in real life but not in the baseball world. She is a diehard Dodger fan and even though my dad was on their payroll and they put food on our table for years, I am a Dodger-turned-Cardinal fan because I've lived in St. Louis for the past 20 years. (I can hear Megan now..."Traitor!") But, here's the deal...I WILL root for the Dodgers in the playoffs and World Series if they beat the Cardinals in this series. How is that for a compromise?

The only basketball news I have is that I notice "lots of politics goin' on at the office." A freshman transferred the other day from a public school because he wasn't guaranteed a spot on their varsity team. Now this little guy (5'5" or something) is conditioning and playing with DeSmet's varsity. Hmm.... But like Brian told me to tell Eric, "Just prove yourself on the court."

Still, it's frustrating.

And still, I'm sooooo excited for basketball season! (Tryouts start November 9th, by the way)

Meanwhile, GO CARDINALS!

Glad you had a great visit with your friend!

I miss those high school basketball days.

As a Tiger fan, I am disappointed at their loss Tuesday night, but am now rooting for the Red Sox and have no preference in the National League.

Good Pictures, Thanks for a great trip and getting to spend time with Larry, Eric, the "girls" and especially you! I will take your compromise as far as baseball is concerned. Go Dodgers!!!!
