My book blog now has its own home. Please visit me at LYNNE'S BOOK REVIEWS. Of course you're more than welcome to see what's going on in my personal life, but if you want to talk books, that's where I'll be!

Musing Mondays / What Are You Reading?

Today's Musing Mondays asks "Do you keep a book wishlist, either on paper, Amazon/etc, or via a book database site (Shelfari, GoodReads, LibraryThing)? If yes, do you share this list with others (especially coming up to Christmas)?"

I'm old-fashioned when it comes to my wishlist. Even though I belong to GoodReads (where I only keep books read), I keep my wishlist in a notebook. When I go to a bookstore I write down titles on a small notebook I keep in my purse and then transfer them to a bigger notebook at home. I cross them off when I either buy them or get them from the library. I don't share my wishlist with family members, but I always make known my desire for bookstore gift cards!

J. Kaye hosts What Are You Reading on Mondays.

Last week I read:

To Kill A Mockingbird
Redeeming Love

I'm currently reading:

Memoirs of a Geisha

This week I plan to read:

Pride and Prejudice

And because my friend Megan is coming here from California for a visit, I don't plan on reading too much more than that!

What about you? What are you reading?

I like taking a notebook with me to the bookstore, too. I jot down titles that sound good, then go look them up at the local library when I get home. ;)

I need to utitlize the features of GoodReads and LibraryThing better. You read some great books last week, what did you think of them?

I just remember for some odd reason. I've never kept a list. Here is mine

I don't keep lists on line. I always have a little notebook by my computer for recommendations from lovely bloggers like yourself or when i am at a bookstore.
i have a list on my desk by my bed but it's all for me.

No one has bought me any books since I was a kid. Everyone in my life just figures i will handle it OR that I have everything.
I need to change that philisophy soon!

Nise: I really liked To Kill A Mockingbird AND Redeeming Love. I've been lucky with books lately. Haven't read a bad one in a while, which is always good! I do like GoodReads. Definitely another addiction though.lol.

Michelle: Guess that's a mom thing...everybody figuring we can handle it :) We definitely need to change that philosophy and the "what do you get a girl who has everything" mindset. How about "Here is my wishlist." Sounds good to me :)
